Ninety-five percent of the kids out there are concerned with being popular and fitting in. The other five percent copy/pastes that quote to their signature. If you find it ironic that kids choose to be unique by imitating everyone else, then I like you.
The thin different colored-lines used for the inking are also great, and used well for the graceful poses of the girls.
I haven't been doing my loldesigns for a while, but usually when I tried to get a feel for them, I look at art by Craig Thompson, Germaine Arnaktauyok and other aboriginal art..or the art which inspired each respective nation in Avatar (inuit, native american, japanese prints, chinese silk painting, tibetan mandalas and stuff) or anything ornate that fits your fancy.
I tried to sketch out a path for each design, then lay them out.
I'm glad you showed this to me, thank you X3

Draw what moves you.
I've already seen Germaine's art (she's amazing, really, my gosh), but I should look up Thompson. I also have this great book of myths with some wonderful full-color prints of traditional art, it's a great inspiration.
The ol' reliable Google helped me with some Chinese painting references, too. I had the worst time trying to figure out what to use for the Earth Kingdom...
Again, thanks for the comment.

*can't think of anything better to say*
The borders are intricate, and add to the individuality of each dancer. The different styles help with that, and really bring out the uniqueness of each nation.
The sheer ammount of time that you put into this is astounding, and worthy of compliments in and of itself. I would hope that after all that time you're satisfied with your work!
Going back to the borders, each one is made with a very different style. It feels like I'm repeating myself a lot, but it's true for everything! It's a lot of work to draw in varied ways, and you did it repeatedly in this drawing. It's a shame you don't update more often, but I'm content to wait.

I absolutely adore how you did this piece and hope you will continue on doing more
I like how your ladies look, everyone is different but they all are coordinated to conclude the same thing, that is indeed a very peaceful message. I must say though, it does have its loose points - the earth part is not as worked as the water and air ones for example - but SERIOUSLY, this is just me being anal lolol because who cares about that when the rest is surrounded by that dance of colours and elements, so awsome sydddd!!
much win indeedz.
